FAQ

Answers to the things people ask before they book.

If you can't find what you're looking for, send the question — I'm happy to answer it by email.

01

Is this for me?

I'm not sure if we're "AI-ready." Should we even be talking?+
Yes. Most of the work in a first session isn't AI — it's mapping where time is going and figuring out which problems are worth a tool at all. AI is a means to better outcomes, not the point. If the answer is "you don't need AI for this," I'll tell you that.
What kind of tasks can be automated with AI?+
More than you'd think. Common examples include admin work, data entry and transfer between systems, report formatting, customer communications, research, scheduling, content drafting for newsletters and social media, and intake processing. If you or your team is doing the same task over and over, there's probably a way to automate part or all of it.
Who is this best for?+
Local Oregon leaders, small business owners, executive directors, fractional leaders, operations managers, and independent consultants carrying too much recurring work who want a smarter way to run it.
I'm part of a small nonprofit with a limited budget. Can we still talk?+
Yes. I keep a sliding-scale and pro-bono lane open for small Oregon nonprofits. Mention it on your discovery call. The first call is always free, regardless.
We're a larger organization. Can you help?+
Not directly for the business — my model is built for local leaders running with lean teams. But I have a short list of trusted partners for larger orgs and I'm happy to make the introduction.

How the work works

What happens in the AI Working Session?+
We use one recurring task as the working material. Together, we map how it happens today and identify where time is leaking. After the session, I build the prompt set and short playbook and deliver it within a few business days.
How is this different from generic AI training?+
Generic training teaches broad tool features. This work starts with your actual task, your context, your constraints, and your judgment. The goal is not to know more about AI. The goal is to leave with a better way to run the work.
Can this turn into help for my business or team?+
Yes. A first session often reveals patterns that may be slowing down the broader business or team. If there's a clear case for deeper work, we can scope a Workflow Snapshot or a Team or Business Engagement together.
Do you help with implementation, or just strategy?+
Both, depending on scope. My sweet spot is strategy, workflow design, SOPs, prompts, and practical handoff. For deeper technical builds, I may refer to or collaborate with a trusted partner.
How is this different from a national "free AI audit"?+
You'll get a deliverable you can use, not a sales funnel. I'm one person, local, and the only thing I'll try to sell you is a focused next engagement, only if it'll genuinely help. Every engagement, including the free discovery call, leaves you with something you can use.
How long does a typical engagement take?+
One to four weeks, depending on scope. We'll talk about this during our 30-minute introduction call. These details are also included as part of the project scope, so there are no surprises.
What tools do you work with?+
I'm tool-neutral. I have no referral fees and no platform to push. We'll start with what you're already paying for — sometimes that's enough — and only add tools when there's a clear case for one.
03

Money & commitment

What does it cost?+
The AI Working Session is $595. The Workflow Snapshot is $900. Team and Business engagements are scoped based on the workflow, size, and implementation needs. Sliding-scale and pro-bono lanes are available for small Oregon nonprofits. The first call is always free.
Why start with a 1:1 session?+
Because it is the fastest way to create proof. You get to see whether the work is useful in your own workflow before making a bigger business or team commitment.
Do you require long-term retainers?+
No. Every engagement is project-based and time-boxed. If we both want to keep working, we'll scope a next engagement. Retainers may come later for clients who want ongoing support.
How do payments work?+
The AI Working Session is paid upfront. Larger engagements typically use a 50% deposit upfront and 50% on delivery. Invoices are standard. Most clients pay by ACH or card.
04

Privacy & trust

Do you sign an NDA?+
Always. Every engagement runs under a simple MSA + SOW with defined terms and scope.
How do you handle sensitive information?+
Carefully. My background includes fintech and regulated environments, so privacy and risk are part of how I think. Sensitive data stays in your systems unless we explicitly agree otherwise.
Will you put my private business information into AI tools?+
No — not without discussion and permission. Part of the work is deciding what AI should not touch.
Will you use my project as marketing without permission?+
No. Case studies are written together and approved by you before they go anywhere. If you'd rather stay anonymous, that's fine too.
05

After the engagement

What if we get stuck after you leave?+
The AI Working Session includes a 20-minute follow-up call within 30 days. You can always send a question too. Most things are quick. For anything that needs real time, we'll scope a small follow-up engagement.
Will the work still be useful as AI tools change?+
Yes. Tools will change. The durable value is the workflow: what information matters, what decisions need human judgment, what can be drafted or summarized, and how the work should move.
What happens if the first session reveals a bigger business problem?+
We'll name it clearly. You'll receive notes on where the same pattern may be affecting your business or team, and we can decide whether a Workflow Snapshot makes sense as a next step.
